An unknown individual introduced in the Angela's Bad Ending after the Reception of The Black Silence. A former member of a group known as the Bookhunters, she works under Angela after thirteen years since the latter killed Roland, betrayed the Patron Librarians, and began attacking the southern quadrant of The City. She is referred by Angela as a "child who had no name".
Appearance
The "child" has long blue hair and pale skin, wearing a long marine-colored overcoat bearing a design reminiscent of the Qliphoth on the back over their black clothing. She wields a giant broadsword with gold highlights on the handle as her weapon.
Personality
Much of her personality is unknown, due to her questionable status in canon. Though, she has stated that she has trusted Angela, becoming her follower and remained loyal to her before putting her down on mutual terms. It seems that in some way, she was ignorant of her true nature and either she and/or Angela views herself as a "monster". These ideas are reinforced due to how she slew their former colleagues, The Bookhunters, and stating how naive she once was before discovering Angela's true nature as well.
Story
Making her debut in Angela's Bad Ending, the mysterious individual acted as a follower to her following her encroachment of the southern part of the City in her pursuit of knowledge and vengeance. During this period of 13 years, the follower killed many of her colleagues known as the Bookhunters as Angela gave the Abnormalities physical form and unleashed them into the world. After her introduction, she bids farewell to Angela after learning of her secrets, permanently putting the Librarian of Death to rest and killing her.
Trivia
- The nameless child makes an appearance in the "Early Chibis" and "Early UI" sections of the Library of Ruina Artbook.
- The nameless child shares her appearance with the character of Bari introduced in Limbus Company. While their connection has not been confirmed, the character of Bari is a Fixer with a strong sense of justice and a fondness for books, who is confirmed to have been alive for several centuries.
- Bari takes her name from the Princess Bari from Korean myth. The princess is dubbed "Bari" after her father's request for her to be thrown away, with the name Bari referencing the Korean word 버리 (beori, "to be thrown away"), thus making her a child with no name, similarly to the character as seen in Library of Ruina.
