Consta (콘스타, Konseuta) is a member of the Brotherhood of Iron. Consta appears in Episode 1 of the same Chapter.

Appearance

Consta's body is fully robotic, made completely out of black and bronze metal; Consta's forearms, fingers, and left leg are all made of black metal, and every other visible part of their body is bronze. Consta's head has two white lights reminiscent of human eyes, and another light in the middle of their chest. Consta wears a large grey hooded cloak. In combat, they use a large chainsaw sword.

Personality

Consta is the most easily distracted member of the Brotherhood of Iron, with their thoughts often trailing off to the topic of food, even during the midst of completely unrelated conversation topics. They are also somewhat naive in the hope that their Syndicate can be quickly recognized as a group to be feared.

Story

Background

Like Mo and Arnold, Consta chose to replace their body with a mechanical prosthetic in order to pursue earning money without being distracted by human needs. However, due to the low quality of their bodies (having been made by a cheap workshop,) they are still forced to deal with basic issues such as joint mobility and having to periodically refill their "brain fluid" to stay sharp, as well as being subject to cravings and memories of human experiences they can no longer have. Consta, who was an avid enjoyer of all kinds of food as a human, was hit especially hard by this.

The Brotherhood of Iron

As the scene begins, Mo is seen reminding Consta and Arnold to keep their brain fluid filled to better pursue earning money. To become more notorious, Consta suggests raiding an Office while Arnold instead suggests a workshop. However, Consta then suggests raiding a restaurant for food, to Mo's dismay, which Consta explains is due to their body's inability to suppress their human thoughts of food.

Consta then finds an Invitation stuck in Mo's arm, which Mo did not notice due to their body's lack of senses. The trio then decide to enter the Library. After Arnold raises doubts about their chances of success, claiming the Library is a trap set by the rich, Consta follows up and recounts a story they heard about people from the Backstreets being kidnapped by the rich and forced to fight in a labyrinth for the rest of their lives as entertainment. Mo then encourages them not to give up, and they enter their Reception.

Ultimately, Consta perishes in the Reception along with Mo and Arnold, and turns into the Book of Consta which contains their Key Page.

Consta’s Page What’s your favorite food? That’s the question I used to ask the most when I still had a human body. I love… looooove eating. Talking about food was a huge delight for me. We would share each other’s tastes and preferences, and sometimes head to a restaurant for a meal just like that. But now… My body’s a machine as you can see. I can’t taste anything anymore. Thanks for pointing that out. Mo told me to stop dreaming about it. I still wanna try more delicious foods, though. Hot and flavorful… Spicy and sweet… Stuff like that. I guess this body is too cheap to restrain delusional thoughts like this. If we get more money and change our bodies to new ones… then maybe I’ll be able to stop these thoughts from getting in the way of my work?
