Floors

Floors in the Library screen

The Floors are the designated sections of the Library overseen by their Patron Librarians to collect and organize specific types of Books. In-game, the Floors act as separate teams of Librarians (one Patron Librarian and up to 4 assistant librarians) which grant unique Abnormality Pages during receptions in those Floors. All the lower layer floors (1 to 3) start with just the Patron Librarian, while all the middle (4 to 6) and upper (7 to 9) layer floors start with 3 total librarians available.

Each floor has six Realization Levels, each with unique Assignments to raise it. After completing all the Assignments of a level, a red notification will be shown on floors whose Realization Level can be raised by completing an Abnormality battle. Raising the Realization Level of a floor unlocks new Abnormality Pages, increases the maximum Emotion Level threshold, and awakens new librarians on its floor (depending on the level and floor). Fully realizing a floor unlocks E.G.O. Pages on it.

Trivia

• The composition of the Floors, their order, and their Patron Librarians are based on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. In the prequel Lobotomy Corporation, the order was reversed, resembling the Tree of Death.
• The colors of the Floors and Patron Librarians are designed after the "Queen Scale" set of colors of the Sephirot established by the Liber 777.
• The names and order of the Floors are derived from the Korean decimal classification (KDC) system used within South Korea to sort books; albeit arranged in a slightly different order.
