Floor of History

The Floor of History, also known as Malkuth's Floor, is the second unlockable Floor of the game, located on the first story of the library. It is unlocked in  Canard after finishing the reception of Yun’s Office. Its Patron Librarian is Malkuth, and its main color is Light Yellow.

This Floor is designated for sorting books related to history, documented events, and the past. The Battle Stage resembles a large divided section into various lanes, adorned with display cases at the sides with objects in them. The lanes can elevate from the ground, showing bookshelves below them. In the background, there are 3 structures connecting to the respective next 3 Floors, from left to right: Floor of Literature, Floor of Technological Sciences, and Floor of Art. The background walls are made of more bookshelves.

I am coming to you. You, who will be reduced to ash like me.	If I must perish, then join me. It’s just too sad to die alone… You know this feeling well, don’t you? Wait for me. I am coming to you, who will be reduced to ash… Step by step… Burn into pitch black char. Is there anything I can do, me, a scorched dark child?
Lv Ⅰ   0 Ashes	[Single Ally] When hit, inflict 1-3 Burn to the attacker, and gain a buff at a 40% chance next Scene: ‘Offensive dice inflict 1 Burn on hit’ (Does not stack). “The charred body represents the child’s crumbled hope, while the ever blazing flame represents the obsession for affection.”	To burn all things that are bright to ashes… I know very well that my scorched body can’t ever return to normal. It’s scary to turn to ashes… But I don’t want this fire to go out. I can feel happiness through the candlelight. And warmth… Maybe I’ll freely soar through the sky as ash one day.
Lv Ⅰ   -1 Matchlight	[Single Ally] The first two Combat Pages the librarian uses after this Abnormality page is selected gain the ‘Matchlight’ status (Excludes [On Play] pages). Whenever the librarian uses a page with ‘Matchlight’, gain 1 ‘Ember’. Pages with ‘Matchlight’ become stronger based on the amount of Ember; however, they have a 25% chance to damage the user if Ember is at 4 or higher. “Well, she’s like a ticking time bomb. No one can tell if she’s in a good mood or not.”	Step by step… Burn into pitch black char. What will show up when I light the next match? You’ll leave me when the light of the last match goes out, won’t you? This light is my only hope… When a shooting star falls from the sky, it means someone went to heaven. I wonder whose star that is…
Happy Teddy Bear
Lv Ⅰ   1 Nostalgic Embrace of the Old Days	[Single Ally] Upon winning a clash, deal bonus Stagger damage equal to the dice’s value at a 20% chance. Clashing against the same target multiple times will increase the likelihood. Teddy was hugging someone tightly. Teddy loved hugs. But something was odd.	Give me a tight hug, will you? It’ll soothe your mind. Everyone loves hugs. Don’t you agree? Come over here and feel this fuzzy and warm feeling. It’s okay. Don’t be afraid. All I do, is wrap you up in my arms. You’re tired, aren’t you? Come take a rest in my embrace.
Lv Ⅰ   2 Happy Memories	[Single Ally] The Combat Page with the highest Cost in hand is chosen (Excludes [On Play] pages). Using pages with the same name will decrease the Cost of every copy of that page the character currently owns by 1. But, you see, Teddy never wanted to be separate from its owner ever again.	Why are you trying to leave me? We were such good friends… Don’t leave me. You’ll change your mind when I hug you just once more. It’s too sad to say goodbye twice… Why do you have to leave me and promise to meet again? Have you come to dislike me because I hugged you too tight?
Lv Ⅰ   -3 Display of Affection	[Single Ally] All dice gain 1-2 Power in a clash. All dice lose 1-2 Power in a one-sided attack. Its memories began with a warm hug.	I’m so happy that you’re playing with me. You’re a kind one, aren’t you? Let’s do it again, okay? You were so eager to play with me. I’m touched… Come over here and feel this fuzzy and warm feeling of love with my hug. Don’t worry. It’s nothing scary. All I do is wrap you up in my arms.
Fairy Festival
Lv Ⅰ   -2 The Fairies’ Care	[Single Ally] For three Scenes, recover 15% of Max HP (Max. 18) at the end of the Scene. If the librarian is hit 3 times while this effect is active, lose 25% of current HP (Max. 30) and lose this effect. The fairies protect our employees. Everything will be peaceful while you are under the fairies’ care.	Don’t worry, now! We’ll take good care of you. Don’t be alarmed. We’re here to protect you. Fairies are sacred beings, you know. Have some confidence. You’re a good-hearted lover of nature, you deserve our care. You’re the special one. The others should reflect on themselves.
Lv Ⅱ   2 Gluttony	[Single Ally] When attacking a target who already took damage on the same Scene, deal +1-3 damage and recover 2-5 HP on hit. The fairies were no more than carnivorous monsters, and their “protection” was their method to keep the meat fresh.	The reason we’re staying by your side? Of course it’s to protect you! Enjoy the fairies’ care to your heart’s content. A good person like you shouldn’t die at the hands of anyone else. We won’t harm you, as long as you don’t do anything evil. Are you doubting us? That’s a wicked thought you have…
Lv Ⅱ   -2 Predation	[Single Ally] All allies except the selected librarian lose 10 HP. The librarian recovers as much HP as others lost from this effect, and gains 3 Strength and 3 Haste this Scene. His stomach and face were ripped off, and his eyeballs and organs were damaged as if they were eaten by something. Meanwhile, the fairies had someone’s blood and flesh smeared all over their mouths.	My fairies are dwindling in numbers… But it can’t be helped. Scarred and rotten meat isn’t tasty! I need something fresh. Spoiled meat isn’t nutritious. I must eat it before it spoils, hm? Scarred and rotten meat isn’t tasty.
Queen Bee
Lv Ⅱ   0 Spores	[Single Ally] When hit, inflict 1-3 Burn and 1-3 Bleed to the attacker next Scene. It has been confirmed that the spores carry drone eggs that hatch inside a living host.	Even if a drone dies, I can always make more to fill their role. To bring my kingdom to greatness… I need more bees… Do you know where all my drones have gone to? Look at the great blue sky while you can.
Lv Ⅱ   -1 Worker Bee	[Single Ally] The enemy who dealt the most damage to the selected librarian is marked. Other allies deal 2-4 more damage to the marked foe with their attacks. They show only two forms of behavior: Delivering nutrients to the Queen, and proliferating.	My bees. It is time to move. Your wings, legs, jaw… Put every part of your body to work. Lest they pillage our honey. Make haste, my minions. We cannot waste a minute. Who will remember the bees that have died for the kingdom…
Lv Ⅲ   -2 Loyalty	[Single Ally] At the start of the Scene, all allies gain Strength based on the amount of damage the selected librarian received on the previous Scene. (1 Strength per 5 damage) The loyalty of bees is a naturally developed instinct. If we discover a way to draw forth that instinct, many things could change.	Hurry and supply me with more honey. I am the kingdom, and the kingdom is I. Loyalty to me is loyalty to your kingdom. Even if your wings are torn, you should give your everything to serve as long as your legs are working. “Giving one’s life” is an empty vow. What I want from you is to survive and continue to protect me.
Snow White’s Apple
Lv Ⅱ   1 Vines	[Single Ally] For the rest of the Act, inflict 6 Bind to a random enemy at the start of the Scene. Pierce dice gain 1-2 Power when attacking that enemy. One day, a branch grew from it. The leaves and branches were already withered and dry, but it continued to grow.	The apple was alone for such a long time. Only rotting corpses kept its side… The vines were withered and dry, but they always embraced the apple. How I wish to bind the two feet of the person who was blessed by my existence and then left. Those who bit into the apple fell asleep like the princess did, except they couldn’t ever wake up.
Lv Ⅲ   2 Barrier of Thorns	[Single Ally] When hit, inflict 2-8 damage and 1-3 Bind to the attacker. If 3 Bind was inflicted at once, recover HP equal to the amount of damage dealt with this effect. The apple that dropped from Snow White’s hand after a single bite could never be happy. The apple, full of loneliness and hatred towards the princess, waited for the day it would rot away and return to the earth.	A pretty apple, abandoned in a forlorn place. Oh, pretty apple… The apple couldn’t return to the earth, and only rotting impurities were around it. The apple that was dropped on the dirt floor couldn’t be happy. Thorned vines grew from the wounded heart.
Lv Ⅲ   0 Malice	[Single Ally] At the start of this Scene, all enemies take damage inversely proportional to the amount of HP the librarian has left. (Min. 5, Max. 30; Less HP is more DMG) The inherent malice caused all life to crumble as soon as it bloomed.	My existence was born from wrath and a curse, yet I served as a blessing to someone else. The lifeless vines continued to grow. It grew, swallowing dreadful thoughts of revenge, anger at itself… and loneliness.

Trivia

• In the background of the Battle Stage can be seen structures that lead up to the next 3 Floors, similar to how Lobotomy Corp.'s facility had the first layer of Departments connected to the Control Team, the Department of Malkuth. This is also according to the Tree of Life and how they are connected.
• The Abnormalities and their Pages represent abandonment (Scorched Girl and Happy Teddy Bear), loyalty (Queen Bee), and betrayal (Fairy Festival, Snow White's Apple).
