Mountain of Smiling Bodies is an Abnormality Enemy, being the third Abnormality Battle on the Floor of Language.
Defeating them will make
Gebura's Floor level up to Level 4 and provide their 3 Abnormality Pages:
Absorption,
Laughter and
Mountain of Corpses.
Mountain of Smiling Bodies' stage resembles a hallway from Lobotomy Corporation. The hallway is in a decrepit state, covered in blood. A single open cell door is present in the middle of the stage. Several disfigured corpses with pained expressions cover the floor.
Mountain of Smiling Bodies is an enemy with the appearance of a big black spherical mass, encrusted with different parts and debris. It has a large gaping maw, lined with bloodied teeth. It has 2 limbs with which it supports itself. The front of its body is covered with various white masks, wearing twisted expressions. It grows an extra part, similar in appearance, when it transforms to the next Stage. The enemy resembles the respective Abnormality from the previous game, Lobotomy Corporation.
In Stage 1, it has 250
HP (but starts with 150) and 60
Stagger. It has 2
Speed Dice of 2~4 and starts at 3
Light.
In Stage 2, it has 350
HP (but starts with 250) and 80
Stagger. It has 3
Speed Dice of 2~3 and starts at 3
Light.
In Stage 3, it has 450
HP (but starts with 350) and 100
Stagger. It has 4
Speed Dice of 1~2 and starts at 3
Light.
Melted Corpses is an enemy resembling a small black pile similar in appearance to the Mountain of Smiling Bodies. It is also covered in various masks with twisted expressions. A pale, melting figure reaches out from within the pile. It has 50
HP and 100
Stagger. It has 1
Speed Dice of 2~6 and starts at 2
Light.
Mountain of Smiling Bodies uses a Deck with 4 Abnormality Exclusive Combat Pages. It has 4 Passive Abilities in Stage 1:
Melted Corpses: Each time the Abnormality loses more than 25% of the
Max. HP (62/87/112), 'Melting Corpses' is spawned at the start of the next Scene.
In Search of Corpses: Prioritizes using 'Devour' on allies. Recovers 30% of current
HP upon defeating an ally.
Dividing: Divides into corpses when
HP drops to 0. If all corpses are defeated within 3 Scenes, the battle is won. Otherwise, the Abnormality revives as Stage 1. (Upon revival, it will recover
HP by the sum of the
HP all remaining Melting Corpses had.)
Growing Mass: Transforms to Stage 2 upon fully recovering
HP.
It has 4 Passive Abilities in Stage 2:
Melted Corpses: Each time the Abnormality loses more than 25% of the
Max. HP (62/87/112), 'Melting Corpses' is spawned at the start of the next Scene.
In Search of Corpses: Prioritizes using 'Devour' on allies. Recovers 30% of current
HP upon defeating an ally.
Divisible Yet Addable: Transforms back to Stage 1 when
HP drops to 0. Transforms to Stage 3 upon fully recovering
HP.
Terrifying Laughter: At the start of the Scene, gain 1
Strength. Uses 'Horrid Screech' every 2 Scenes.
It has 4 Passive Abilities in Stage 3:
Melted Corpses: Each time the Abnormality loses more than 25% of the
Max. HP (62/87/112), 'Melting Corpses' is spawned at the start of the next Scene.
In Search of Corpses: Prioritizes using 'Devour' on allies. Recovers 30% of current
HP upon defeating an ally.
Division: Transforms back to Stage 2 when
HP drops to 0.
Putrid Vomit: At the start of the Scene, gain 2
Strength. Uses 'Vomit' every 2 Scenes.
Melted Corpses uses a Deck with one Abnormality Exclusive Combat Pages. It has one Passive Ability:
Rot: Upon taking a hit, deal 8 damage to the librarian that attacked it and inflict 1
Fragile to them.
Behavior and Deck
Mountain of Smiling Bodies will target its allies with Devour every Scene to recover
HP, so that it can transform to the next Stage. Apart from serving as source of
HP for the Mountain, the Melted Corpses use attacks that deal bonus
Stagger damage, and their ability punishes any librarians that attack them (the ability does not trigger against the Mountain).
Mountain of Smiling Bodies starts the battle at Stage 2, accompanied by 4 Melted Corpses. While in Stage 2, it will have 1
Strength every Scene and use Horrid Screech every 2 Scenes. If it is able to fully recover its
HP, it will transform to Stage 3 and all Melted Corpses will die. While in Stage 3, it will have 2
Strength and use Flop Down every Scene, and will use Vomit every 2 Scenes. Any time Mountain of Smiling Bodies transforms to Stage 1 or 2, it will spawn 4 Melted Corpses. These will replace any living Melted Corpses already present in the battle.

Trivia
- Mountain of Smiling Bodies appeared in the prequel game, Lobotomy Corporation, as an ALEPH Abnormality, with a similar appearance.
- Mountain of Smiling Bodies is the first Abnormality whose background has direct imagery of Lobotomy Corporation as opposed to being given its own original habitat. As each Abnormality's environment is built to simulate the best conditions for the Abnormalities, it can be inferred that Mountain of Smiling Bodies' ideal conditions are the same as its backstory, where piles of bodies that were neglected in a hallway of Lobotomy Corporation merged into a singular Abnormality.
- The other Abnormality with a similar environment is Nothing There, also born from the conditions of Lobotomy Corporation.
