Olga
“ | You kids might be thinking I'm just an easygoing drunkard, but every action of mine is calculated, you see? | ” |
–Olga |
Olga is the Operator of Molar Office. She appears in the same Chapter, Episode 1.
Appearance
Olga is a blonde woman in a collared white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, suspenders, and gray slacks. She also wears a loosely-done black tie and a black bracelet. In combat, she wields a serrated cleaver-like blade.
Personality
Olga is a carefree and even careless person whose competence as a Fixer is tempered by her impulsiveness and further by her rampant alcoholism, much to the dismay of her Office subordinates, especially Rain. This leads to much bickering between them when they try to point out and compensate for her mistakes, though she still cares for them and even regards them as partners.
Story
Background
Olga is old friends with Myo, the captain of R Corp's Fourth Pack's Rabbit Team, and in the past they had often worked together in the Backstreets as Fixers supporting each other in life and death situations. They drifted apart as Olga joined Molar Office and became its Operator, but recently reunited after Myo invited her to go drinking together. During this time, Myo revealed R Corp's interest in the Library and hired Olga to have the Molar Office investigate the Library for them. In celebration at the sudden prospect, Olga got herself heavily drunk (again) and even used her Office's funds to pay for their celebration.
The following morning, Olga sets out with Mika and Rain to fulfill the request despite having woken up with a massive hangover.
Olga had recently also resolved a major request given to her Office, but wasn’t paid due to forgetting to make a contract for the case.
Molar Office
During the story of Molar Office Episode 1, Olga is seen alongside Mika and Rain at the WARP train platform awaiting the WARP Train which will take them to
L Corp's Nest; Olga is hungover and is annoyed by Rain’s persistent disapproval of her affairs, especially when he questions the trustworthiness of their client, which Olga is quick to defend.
After they board WARP Train UW-212, Olga vocally complains about being seated near Tommy and Merry before going to sleep, telling Rain to clean up in case she vomits. However, when an hour has passed and the train still has not reached its destination, Rain wakes her up and Mika explains their situation to her. As time passes in the train, Olga loses patience and tries to escape, using her weapon to cut through the seatbelt and—ignoring Mika’s warning—trying to smash open the train’s door, though this is unsuccessful and she is forced to concede defeat. 31 hours into the ride, Olga decides to take one last “gamble” at escaping and uses the Invitation given to them by Myo, which both Rain and Mika agree to.
After entering the Library, Olga praises her own quick thinking but continues to be nagged by her subordinates. When Angela arrives, Olga immediately shifts her attention to the Pale Librarian, calling out her status as a machine and haphazardly attempting to interrogate her, which forces Rain and Mika to apologize for her behavior. Ultimately, they are all defeated after entering their Reception, and she is turned into the
Book of Olga.
