Dear Guests, this Page is currently undergoing realization. Please bear with us as we fully realize the Page of Queen Bee!

To fight this Abnormality, you must obtain the book of Sweepers and the book of a Index Proselyte.

"There can never be enough drones! There’s no end to our labor."
- Queen Bee

Queen Bee is an Abnormality Enemy, being the fourth Abnormality Battle on the Floor of History.
Defeating Queen Bee will make MalkuthIcon.png Malkuth's Floor level up to Level 5 and provide its 3 Abnormality Pages: CoinPositiveIcon.png Spores, CoinNegativeIcon.png Worker Bee, and CoinNegativeIcon.png Loyalty.

Queen Bee's stage is composed of a large yellow room with honeycomb structures in the background. Both the walls and the floor are covered in a honeycomb pattern.

Queen Bee is an enemy with the appearance of a large, heavily mutated bumblebee. Her body is yellow with black stripes, and is segmented into tiers of red dismembered flesh. She has one large blue iris, a pair of bent antennae, and a pair of torn bee wings. Her head itself is severely mutilated, with each 'slice' being rimmed with small pointed teeth. She has 270 HPIcon.png HP and 60 StaggerIcon.png Stagger. She has 2 SpeedIcon.png Speed Dice of 2~5 and starts at 4 LightIcon.png Light.

Worker Bee is an enemy that resembles a large wasp with long legs, tattered wings, a small head and thorax, and a large abdomen. It lacks eyes, but has thick teeth protruding from its mouth and a pair of bent antennae pointing downwards. It possesses 6 legs in its abdomen and a pair of small arms in its thorax. At the end of the abdomen, it has what appear to be intestines in place of a stinger. Four Worker Bees accompany the Queen Bee. Each has 60 HPIcon.png HP and 40 StaggerIcon.png Stagger. They have 1 SpeedIcon.png Speed Dice of 2~5 and start at 4 LightIcon.png Light.

Queen Bee uses a Deck with 3 Abnormality Exclusive Combat Pages. It has 4 Passive Abilities:

  • AbnormalityAbilityIcon.png Spores: If the character was attacked, inflict 1 SporesIcon.png Spores on all librarians next Scene.
  • AbnormalityAbilityIcon.png Pronatalism: If there are 2 or fewer Worker Bees alive at the start of the Scene, inflict 2 SporesIcon.png Spores on all librarians.
  • AbnormalityAbilityIcon.png Metamorphosis: If a librarian dies while under the influence of SporesIcon.png Spores, spawn a Worker Bee next Scene.
  • AbnormalityAbilityIcon.png Pheromones: Uses pages that boost the aggression and loyalty of Worker Bees every 3 Scenes.

The Worker Bees use Decks with 5 Abnormality Exclusive Combat Pages. They have 2 Passive Abilities:

  • AbnormalityAbilityIcon.png Loyalty: Target the last foe that attacked the Queen Bee in the previous Scene.
  • AbnormalityAbilityIcon.png Balling Embrace of Death: If the Queen Bee's HPIcon.png HP falls to 20% or below, attacks her.

 Behavior and Decks

Queen Bee and the Worker Bees' decks revolve around inflicting SporesIcon.png Spores, dealing a large amount of residual damage. Queen Bee only uses BlockIcon.png Block dice and endures all damage types. Every 3 Scenes, she uses both Boost Aggression and Boost Loyalty to try to buff the Worker Bees. During this Scene, all of Queen Bee's StaggerIcon.png Stagger Damage resistances change to "Fatal". The stage also becomes filled by a dense fog of spores.

The Worker Bees can deal bonus damage equal to the target's SporesIcon.png Spores stacks and also recover Queen Bee's HPHealIcon.png HP. When Queen Bee's HPIcon.png HP falls to 20% or below, all Worker Bees will target her and gain access to Embrace of Death. Killing all the Worker Bees is not required to win the fight, as the battle ends once Queen Bee is dead.

Trivia

  • Queen Bee appeared in the prequel game, Lobotomy Corporation, as a WAW Abnormality, with a similar appearance. Queen Bee in Library of Ruina is however noticeably wider.
  • The Worker Bees appeared in Lobotomy Corporation as HE enemies, with a similar appearance.
  • The Worker Bees attacking the Queen Bee when she is at 20% HP or below is similar to how worker bees in real life kill an unsuitable queen by "balling" her.
