"That fool’s changed too much. He’s not worth seeing. I bet he’ll disappear again soon enough."
-Renaud, talking about Roland.

Renaud (르노 leu-no) was a Fixer of Charles' Office.

Appearance

Although Renaud's full appearance is blocked out by shadows, they appear to be a large individual with spiky hair. They wear what looks like to be a jacket, likely in northern style, and carry a large, squared weapon behind their back, similar to a greatsword.

Personality

Renaud appears to have a harsh personality, resenting Roland for his actions, and being uninterested in meeting his former coworker again, and expressing no strong feelings about the perspective of his death.

Story

Renaud was a Fixer of Charles' Office in its heyday. They appear during the story, along with Ogier and Naimon, in Roland's bad ending, at a bar, talking about Roland's sudden reappearance and his actions.

Trivia

  • Renaud takes their name from Renaud de Montauban, a recurring character in medieval chansons de geste, also known as Rinaldo in Ludovico Ariosto's Orlando Furioso. In Orlando Furioso, Rinaldo, the cousin of Orlando and brother of Bradamante, is a fellow paladin of Charlemagne, who, like his cousin, falls in love with the princess Angelica, which marks the beginning of a rivalry between the two.
  • Renaud was mentioned in a tweet by the Limbus Company Twitter account in 2021. The tweet features a conversation between two people (possibly Gebura and Roland) who talk about the strongest Fixers in the City. Several names are mentioned, including a "Rinaldo" (리날도), whom Roland describes as a "bastard". While the name appears different, being the Korean transliteration of Italian version of his name used in Orlando Furioso, with Renaud instead being named after the French version (르노), Roland's familiarity with him suggests the tweet is referring to Renaud.
