The Middle
The Middle is one of the Five Fingers, the five most powerful Syndicates in the City holding enough power to rival the Wings.
Background
The Middle does not make a direct appearance in Library of Ruina. It was first elaborated on in Canto V: The Evil Defining of Limbus Company. There, it is established that the Middle uses a familial-based ranking system, going from Little Siblings, to Young, Big, and then Great Siblings. It is strongly emphasized that The Middle "Never Forgets," making them an extremely vengeful faction. Members often keep a rulebook, the Book of Vengeance, on them to accurately punish their foes depending on what rule was broken.
Story involvement
In Library of Ruina, the Middle is not involved in the war for Nest L due to being severely weakened by The Black Silence before the story began. However, a former member does make an appearance as one of the members of The Reverberation Ensemble.
Trivia
- In Limbus Company, a Big Brother of the Middle, Ricardo, during his Announcer voicelines, mentions how badly The Black Silence damaged the group, stating that he had "burst into our southern branch outta nowhere and started butchering our seniors left and right."
