The reception of The Black Silence is the reception of Roland, the last Fixer to be known by the moniker of "The Black Silence." It is a one-Act fight with up to three floors with a max of five Librarians each available for use. Although the fight is only one Act, it has a total of five scripted phases (the last two being two parts of one main phase), moving between each phase once the enemies in the previous one have been defeated or reduced to certain HP levels.
Shimmering At the start of each Scene, exhaust all pages in hand and deck; add new pages to hand. Their Cost becomes 0. Perception-blocking Mask A Speed die with the lowest Speed becomes untargetable. Retaliate Gain 2 dice (Slash, 4-8) at combat start. Clenched Grudge Recover 5 Stagger Resist on hit; lose 8 Stagger Resist on clash lose. The Black Silence All dice on the page selected in the third Speed dice slot gain +2 Power. Speed Ⅲ Speed Dice Slot +1. Gain an additional Speed die at Emotion Level 3. A Fighter that Never Retreats Whenever the Emotion Level rises, gain 1 Strength and Endurance

Shimmering At the start of each Scene, exhaust all pages in hand and deck; add new pages to hand. Their Cost becomes 0. Take half as much damage from status ailments. Memories of the Library For the duration of the phase, gain unique passive abilities each Scene. HP does not go below 40%. If Roland's HP is at 40% at the end of the Scene, proceed to the next phase. Fully recover Stagger Resist when progressing to the next phase. Scars Reduce incoming damage from a specific type, which changes every Scene. When hit by the attack of the type, reduce its damage to 0 at a 20% chance. This effect can be nullified by destroying the weapons summoned by Roland. Blood Defensive dice gain 1-2 Power this Scene. If a Defensive die loses in a clash, take 3-6 Stagger damage. Leer Gain 1 Strength this Scene. Strength gain increases by 1 whenever this effect activates. If an Offensive die fails to deal damage, take 3-6 Stagger damage. Curiosity For this Scene, on hit, shuffle two random pages in target's hand back into their deck. Kiss Prioritizes targeting librarians with Bind. For this Scene, on clash win, inflict Ice Splinter to the opponent. At the end of the Scene, characters with 3 or more Ice Splinters become Immobilized for the next Scene.
