The reception of The Black Silence is the reception of Roland, the last Fixer to be known by the moniker of "The Black Silence." It is a one-Act fight with up to three floors with a max of five Librarians each available for use. Although the fight is only one Act, it has a total of five scripted phases (the last two being two parts of one main phase), moving between each phase once the enemies in the previous one have been defeated or reduced to certain HP levels.

              This phase follows a five-Scene pattern. At the fifth Scene, Roland will use Furioso. When Roland is reduced to 399 HP, the next phase will start.

              For the duration of the phase, gain unique passive abilities each Scene. HP does not go below 40%. If Roland's HP is at 40% at the end of the Scene, proceed to the next phase. Fully recover Stagger Resist when progressing to the next phase.
              SkillOrangeIcon.png Scars
              Reduce incoming damage from a specific type, which changes every Scene. When hit by the attack of the type, reduce its damage to 0 at a 20% chance. This effect can be nullified by destroying the weapons summoned by Roland.
              SkillOrangeIcon.png Blood
              Defensive dice gain 1-2 Power this Scene. If a Defensive die loses in a clash, take 3-6 Stagger damage.
              SkillOrangeIcon.png Leer
              Gain 1 Strength this Scene. Strength gain increases by 1 whenever this effect activates. If an Offensive die fails to deal damage, take 3-6 Stagger damage.
              SkillOrangeIcon.png Curiosity
              For this Scene, on hit, shuffle two random pages in target's hand back into their deck.
              SkillOrangeIcon.png Kiss
              Prioritizes targeting librarians with Bind. For this Scene, on clash win, inflict Ice Splinter to the opponent. At the end of the Scene, characters with 3 or more Ice Splinters become Immobilized for the next Scene.
