The Index Proselytes have a unique targeting mechanic. They will all focus on one Librarian at a time and will not target another Librarian until their target has died. However, their attacks can still be redirected by other Librarians depending on Speed values. Furthermore, the Proselytes will exclusively use Combat Pages which have dice that are currently buffed by their Passive Ability Grace of the Prescript. The type of die that is currently buffed can be determined by the Slash Power-UpSlash Power-Up X Slash dice gain +X Power for this Scene., Pierce Power-UpPierce Power-Up X Pierce dice gain +X Power for this Scene., and Blunt Power-UpBlunt Power-Up X Blunt dice gain +X Power for this Scene. status effects, one of which will be on each given character per Scene. Proselytes encountered in later receptions also share these mechanics.
