Gloria (글로리아, Geullolia) is a Proxy of The Index. They first appear in the Reception of the Index Proselytes. They are then able to be fought in the Reception of the Index Proxies, alongside other Proxies and many Index Proselytes.

Appearance

Gloria is by the far the tallest of the 3 Proxies and appears to have a completely mechanic body. Their body is completely oval in shape and covered by a long, white coat with a golden gorget and Index badge, only showing their head and three of their five arms. The head is connected to their body with a very long, giraffe-like metal neck, and on the front of their head they sport a singular black hole with a red pupil as their only "eye", which changes shape and color depending on their mood. Their choice of weaponry lie beyond the reaches of what can be seen by their cloak, but when attacking something (either in a prebattle cutscene or in battle against the Library,) they wield a set of 5 identical triangular daggers.

Personality

Gloria has a bizarrely upbeat, enthusiastic personality, contrasting with the somber and serious personality of the other Proxies. They also seem very nonchalant about carrying out Prescripts, keeping a bubbly disposition no matter how gruesome the task given appears to be.

The Index has an arsenal of swords and blades. Most of the Prescripts we receive can be solved with a sword, too. Mmm~ Never really thought about why we use swords, nope! Maybe it’s because they have this oppressive aura and make us look serious or something?! Each of us uses different types of blades. Starting with the ranks of Messengers and Proxies, the Prescripts give personalized swords. From a light one-edged sword fit for slicing things quickly; to heavy, double-edged greatswords~ They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Helps us stand out from each other. As for me, I’ve got five whole blades~ Maybe being speedy helped? It looks like we get swords that fit our traits~ Have you seen the sword Hubert’s carrying? It looks so heavy, and he swings it like it’s nothing.

Trivia

• The little-girl voice of Gloria "took inspiration from a certain spider-shaped robot from a certain series," presumably the Tachikoma Batou from Ghost in the Shell. The dogmatism of the Index also matches the attitudes of some Tachikoma about their human creators.
• Despite having the passive Breaking Pressure in the fight, their obtainable keypage has a different passive, "Easygoing Breather: At Emotion Level 2 or above, each Scene, the Cost of a random Combat Page in hand whose Cost is 1 or higher is reduced by 1 for the Scene." This discrepancy is probably due to the fact that Easygoing Breather would do nothing with Shimmering.
• Despite not having it in their deck, Gloria has access to the page Swift Trace due to their Shimmering passive. It is likely they were meant to have Swift Trace in their deck, but it simply was never added for some reason.
